In addition to his passion for twentieth century European history and politics, Paul Letters has developed an interest in modern China. He earned a Masters’ Degree (Distinction) in international affairs from the University of Hong Kong and stayed on for a while as a Senior Researcher. He has written Opinion-Editorial pieces for the South China Morning Post on various China topics: policies in Africa (see below or click here); Iran (2010) and Iran again (2011); political reform; and China and religion: challenge or opportunity?
