  1. Excellent – well researched. Scene setting in Warsaw gave the feeling there must have been in many cities in Europe at that time. Knowing war was inevitable but trying to wring out the last bits of pleasure before the storm arrived. Hinting at the anti-Semitism that existed throughout Europe at that time(not just Germany) and as we now know the horrors that followed.
    The detail of the Blenheim bomber, the much smaller and less well equipped predecessor to the better known Halifax and Wellington bombers, again conveyed the feeling of vulnerability the crews must have felt going into action against an extremely well armed and ruthless enemy.
    I am looking forward to reading the remainder of the book when it’s published – well done Paul.
